Taisei Project is a Tōhō Project fangame which is also free and open-source. The game can also be supported by an optional purchase via itch.io.

Installation

Taisei is not available via the standard Gentoo ebuild repository, but rather belongs to the GURU. If not already enabled, the below commands will enable it and make it available:

root #emerge --ask --noreplace app-eselect/eselect-repository
root #eselect repository enable guru
root #emerge --sync guru

Emerge

There are no special USE flags for Taisei, besides doc, lto, and zip. It is fine to not worry about these, though.

Cannot load package information. Is the atom games-arcade/taisei correct?

One can simply merge the ebuild:

root #emerge --ask games-arcade/taisei
